Modern New York Studio
Table and TVNorm from Brisbane, Australia; May 2010:
'Was not impressed with the size of the apt for the price. The area was reasonably handy to everything and quiet.I realise this is New York and I have nothing to compare it with except hotels in several other countries.'

Daniel Greene from Fremantle, Australia; April 2010:
'Our stay there was fantastic. The location of the appartment was ideal and the bed ridiculously comfortable. Slightly dissapointed the Ipod connection to the speaker system didn't work but that's a minor gripe. Would recommend to friends.'

Jessica Püschel from Munich, Germany; January 2010:

'Exactly what expected, clean apartment, quiet area, and helpful owner. The building is not really deluxe, but we don't leave in the hallway ;-)? So do not hesitate, it's a good place . Sabrina & Michel'

'Perfect stay in this very quiet appartment. No noise during the night as the room is in the back of the building. Of course, you hear about the neighbour's tv but it is all you can listen to.. The appartment is very clean and confortable. In the beginning, it is quite difficult to understand the shower but go to the guest's book where you will find a picture showing how to resolve your problem ! Perfect localisation, the metro is 5 minutes by feet and just at the corner you will find all what you need to make your errands. Thank you Michael and Cristina for my stay, so much better than the hotel ! Christian, from France'

'We loved our stay and appreciated the $, the cleanliness of the condo (with one exception-see below) & the location. We do have a few suggestions (in ascending order of importance): 1) A small microwave would be a good idea; 2) The shower curtain could be cleaned/replaced (dirty on the bottom); 3) The building itself appears to be getting somewhat rundown & the common areas (hallways & entry) were not as clean as the condo. We certainly understand that this is completely out of your control, but this will be something we consider in deciding whether or not to book again; 4) We fully agree with your comments about the AC. However, given the lack of ventilation, we routinely had to run the AC at night in order to cool the place down enough to sleep. This was during a time when the weather (with only one humid day) was lovely. Have you considered installing a ceiling fan/light fixture? We have them in every room at home & it makes a big difference in cooling (not to mention the electric bill). '

'The apartment is absolutely perfect. Cool place to stay in NYC!!!. Clean, safe, quiet, located in the wonderful UWS around one of the most amazing supermarket that I know Fairway. Pretty close to the Riverside Park (Manhattan's most spectacular waterfront) and Central Park a perfect place for runners like me. Strategically well situaded (subway 1,2,3 lines). Definitely the place to stay in New York.!!! PS: I will definitely use again. (Unfortunately is booked for my future short stay in September). Cheers and congratulations!!! All the best sergi '

'Michael & Christina, We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The location was absolutely wonderful. Great area of NYC, close to markets, restaurants, subway, and major bus routes. We would stay here again. Sincerely Marlene & Dave N.'

Lisa Rankin from Sydney, Australia; April 2009:
'This apartment is very conveniently located - only two blocks from the nearest Metro stop. It was clean and easily accessible. Michael was easily contactable when we couldnt work out how to use the shower! We felt safe in the apartment at all times. We didnt find the best as comfortable as mentioned by other guests (the fitted sheet would not stay intact and the mattress dipped in the middle). A toaster, a tea towel and some new sheets would be some additions which would have made our stay more comfortable. I would recommend this apartment if you are looking to save money on your accomodation, however dont expect the same level of comfort and finishes as you would find in a quality hotel. '

'This fabulous apartment is in great shape. There is no street noise in the quiet corner apartment and Michael will go out of his way to help you promptly with any issues! The bed was big and comfy and the two closets provided plenty of room. I highly recommend this studio in such a charming UWS setting!'

Michelle Foster from Sydney, Australia; December 2008:
'A big thank you to Michael and Cristina for a very comfortable and geographically well positioned stay. The apartment is clean and tidy and the bed is very comfy. I did notice that the apartment lacked a kettle in favour of a coffee machine - easily fixed though, I'm sure. The location is superb. Walk out the door and you'll be in the subway in no time at all. You'll probably even spot the odd celebrity on your way!! If you want a bit more room we also stayed in Michael and Cristina's West 75th one bedroom apartment which is a couple of doors down and also recommended. One last thing - Michael and Cristina truly shine when and if there is a problem. Be it a blocked drain or an administration error, they are on the case and have the problem resolved with speed and efficiency. Thanks guys!'

Fernando Hernandez from Orlando, Florida, USA; December 2008:
'great location!'

Jon vallee from Jackson Wy, usa; November 2008:
'We had a great stay but the apartment could use a few small Improvements. The fitted sheet on the bed was clean but needed changing due to age. The kitchen could use a few basic Items, a toaster , spatula ,2 wine glasses , some salt. and it sure would be nice to have a comfortible chair The apartment is a great value and we would gladly pay 10$ more a night if you added a few comforts'

Michelle Butler from Glendale, USA; November 2008:
'Our stay was swell. Great location, clean and loved the bed. An electric coffee maker would have made us big coffee drinkers happier and a dresser to put our clothes away would have been great. We would go back. Thanks. Michelle & Mark'

Heather Blackmon from Marietta, GA, USA; November 2008:
'Wonderful location - convenient to central park and subway, but very quiet location. Slept with the window open and didn't hear a thing! '

Shannon Mally from San Francisco, USA; September 2008:
'Michael and Cristina, Thank you so much for opening up your home to us during our first visit to NYC! The apartment was great. We couldn't have asked for a better location. It is close to several markets and only a couple blocks from the subways. There's no better way to expereince New York than to stay in an apartment and live like a real New Yorker for a few days. We look forward to our next trip to New York and would not hesitate to stay with you again if the apartment is available. Thanks again! Shannon and Matt'

Chris Lackey from Calgary, Canada; August 2008:
'This is a comfortable, quiet studio apartment in a secure building. The location is very convenient, just off Broadway and near the 72nd st. subway station, which is a stop for express and local trains on the 1,2,3 line. This makes it easy to get anywhere in NYC quickly. There are many fine bars, restaurants, and retail stores in the upscale surrounding area. Central park and the Museum of Natural History are less than a 10 minute walk East. A well-stocked market open till 1am is also 1 minute away. We would definitely stay here again. Chris & Mel'
