'Dropped my son in NYC for school at the end of August and stayed here. It is a clean, affordable apt in a beautiful neighborhood. Literally, a 5 minute walk or LESS to Central Park, Lincoln Center, a Trader Joe's and subway service on the #1,2,3 lines. I will definitely try to book this for future visits. Very convenient and in a great location!'

Shaun Rawlins from San Antonio, TX, USA; September 2013:
'Apartment was nice, clean and in a great location. Couple of blocks to Central Park, and Subway stop was less than a block away. Check in/out was extremely smooth. Small apartment, however expected for NYC,certainly wouldn't fit more than 2. One problem was that the TV did not work, some issue with the cable box requiring activation. We contacted the owners about the problem, but did not receive a call back from them - the entire 4 days. We spent minimal amount of time in the apartment as we were out and about in the city, but still would have been nice to catch the news in the morning/evenings. We certainly thought it was rude not to acknowledge the problem. '

Peter Holloway from Louisville, Usa; January 2013:
'The studio is a great centrally located pied a terre in NYC. Will definitely book again on return visits.'

Catrin Harris from Melbourne, Australia; October 2012:
'The location is unbeatable! It could do with a bit of TLC though. Little things like clean tea towel(s), extra linen and towels included in the price could make a difference. Sofabed is pretty uncomfortable. Still had an amazing time and might check out one of the other apartments on offer next time. '

Katie Oesch from Houston, USA; October 2012:
'My sisters and I have been going to NYC for decades and have always loved the upper west side, this is the epitomy of what we wanted, great location, quaint, charming, intimate apt. and easy!So perfect for 3 or less people. We have spread the word and will definately rent again! Thanks so much for hosting us, it was a time to remember. KO'

Mary Jaton from Edmonds, Washington, USA; October 2012:
'Wonderful location and a great price! It was close to the subway, we were able to start each morning with a walk through central park and given that it is a big city, we felt very safe. The owners were very good at confirming dates, communicating etc. The only thing that I would change is the loft bed. It would have been lovely to have a nice bed in place of the couch. We spent each day either walking or biking miles around the city and I was longing to come home and plop down on the bed (not climb up some old wooden steps) However, there are so many wonderful things about this apartment and it's location, that it was small price to pay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is a regular or new traveler to NYC!'

Julie Fussell from Seattle, USA; September 2012:
'Studio was as descibed. Great location , clean, and fairly quiet. We were very happy to find an apt just a month out. Michael and Christina were exceptional at communicating and confirming our reservations, as I discovered, many apt owners are flakey and did not respond. Thank you for that! The lofted bed was the only thing I would have changed, as my husband and I felt a little unstable being up there together. No problems with the stability, just some creaking that made us uneasy. Would probably not be any concerns for a single person. I would definitely rent from them again, just a different apt due to the lofted bed.'

Jeff Perrin from Laguna Beach, CA, USA; September 2012:
'This little studio was perfect for me. The location was excellent and it had everything I needed. There's even a Trader Joe's right across the street. I would love to stay here again. My only suggestion is to put a fan (maybe a box fan) up in the loft area. A fan would use a lot less power than running the A/C. Thank you '

Marie Bascou from Nice, France; August 2012:
'We had a lovely stay in this apartment, greatly due to its situation at the heart of New York City, only a station away from Times Square and a ten minute walk from Central Park. Organization and reservation are serene thanks to Cristina and Michael's serious job! '

Lynne & Harry Rogerson from Wallington - Victoria, Australia; August 2012:
'We had a great time in New York, caught a musical on Broadway - Memphis - fantastic! The loft is a very handy location to all our needs, compact but comfortable - wonderful experience for our first visit to NewYork.'

Lysianne Caron from Rouen, France; July 2012:
'We had a really pleasant stay in this studio. Michael and Cristina were very helpful. Clean and comfortable, the studio is just near the subway, in a pleasant neighborhood : calm, next to Central Park, with a lot of shops around. Very convenient, I recommand it !'

Stephen Conkey from Raleigh, USA; March 2012:
'I really enjoyed my stay at the apartment. First of all, the location is great - less than a block from the subway, and anything you'd want within a few block radius. The apartment itself is quite cozy, but it is clean. The loft bed was really comfortable. The shower has great water pressure, and plenty of hot water. The air conditioner does a great job at cooling off the apartment on warm days. I'd definitely recommend the studio loft apartment for your stay; it is a perfect place for a couple.'

V Clark from Melbourne, Australia; March 2012:
'Although this apartment was in a very good location, close to central park and the subway and in a very safe neighbourhood, the house itself was just ok. It was habitable and comfortable, was very warm, and was generally clean. However, the apartment was quite rundown, was very dusty behind heaters. There were minimal appliances (ie no kettle) and the oven did not work, although the gas burners did.'

Paul + Regina from Basel, Switzerland; March 2012:
'We really came to like the cozy studio in 71st street. The location can't be beat, and having breakfast at the table by the window was always a pleasure. A nice addition to the inventory would be a rack to dry the dishes...and perhaps you could have the black lamp fixed.'

victoria huescar from malaga, españa; February 2012:
'muy buena situacion cerca a una estacion de metro, todo muy limpio y tal como aparece en la foto, sin ningun engaño. '

eva gallego from , ; January 2012:
'La situacion es inmejorable la verdad. El apartamento bien acondionado aunque el menaje del hogar muy pobre para cocinar y la cama hay que subir escaleras y el techo está demasiado cerca.'

Mick & Justine Milazzo from Brisbane, Australia; December 2011:
'Perfect locale. Great little studio. Suggest a microwave oven. Would stay again. Thanks Mick & Justine'

Chris Hurst from Nashville, TN, USA; October 2011:
'The place has a great location and a decent price. Although it was a bit smaller than the pics indicated, it quickly grew on us and we were glad we chose this place. The only thing that i would warn against is leaving your bags with the cleaning lady. On the day of our departure, we left our bags in the room with the cleaning lady and took the key. Upon our return, we learned that the cleaning lady had locked the lock that we did not have the keys to. The taxi was outside waiting to take us to the airport and we were locked out with all of our bags in the room. Her husband had to come let us in and we took the most nauseating cab ride to LaGuardia that i have ever had, he got us there with 7 minutes til boarding. Great stay but a very dissapointing ending. '

Valentina Salmin from Padua, Italy; June 2011:
'We had a great time! The apartment is very clean, no noise at night. In the neighborhoods you have metro stations for main lines and good restaurants. I absolutely recommend it!'

Beatrice De Gaulejac from Marin, Martinique - France; May 2011:

conversat laurence from dijon, france; May 2011:
'Nous avons trouvé l'endroit calme,très bien situé près de central parc, et tout proche du métro sur une ligne verticale.Beaucoup de commerces très proches.L'appartement est conforme à la description ,il manque un peu de matériel de cuisine, et le matelas du canapé est un peu fatigué.Mais très bon rapport qualité prix à conseiller.'

Lauren Bothwell from St. Paul, United States; March 2011:
'We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we appreciated that Michael, Cristina, and Mary (the cleaning lady) were easily reachable by telephone. We had only two annoyances: the heater by the window was rather noisy and it was really warm in the apartment. We slept with the window open every night(in March). Other than that it was great. Especially loved the neighborhood. Great location! It was so nice to have a grocery store, pharmacy, shopping and restaurants right around the corner.'

Meryle Selinger from Hashmonaim, Israel; March 2011:
'The loft bed is a cute, cozy apartment. I felt like a teenager climbing into the loft! Thanks for the good service! Meryle'

Audrey from London, UK; December 2010:
'I really enjoyed my stage in this flat. Perfectly located, quiet and very handy. Warmly recommend it.'

Lena and Thea H from Lommedalen, Norway; October 2010:
'My daughter and I stayed 15 days in this apartment in September/October and we had a wonderful time. The apartment is small but perfect for two (small sized) persons. The bed was surprisingly comfortable but it´s too short for a very tall person. The kitchen is not very well equipped but we only had breakfast at home anyway. This apartment has a superb location only a few steps from the subway, close to Central Park and with a nice neigbourhood. We had a late flight back home and stored our luggage with Mary. That worked out just fine. We could definately stay here again (but not with my husband who is very tall and for him this apartment would be too small) Best regards from Norway'

DO M from Milan, Italy; September 2010:
'Apartment is situated in optimal position near Central Park and really near to Subway Line 1-2-3 both Express and Local and just for this I would suggest it.(also near to FAIRWAY supermarket!!!) Rooms are quite small and not modern furnished but atmosphere is romantic. Pay attention while getting down from the bed. Forniture could be renovated (no micro-wave, boil machine didn't worked, only one pot too big for 2 people) Ok for cleaning. Really flexible and easy for check-in and check-out. For a next holiday I would choose it again.'

Josiane François from Bitche, France; September 2010:
Bonnes vacances. '

Cedric BRAMAS from Lyon, France; April 2010:
'Nice flat, very well situated near Central Park and near the subway. No problem to enter in the apartment. Very easy! We recommend!'

Kim Gunning from Cape Town, South Africa; March 2010:
'This is an ideal location. I stayed for 6 weeks and fell in love with the place! Michael was very obliging and always available when I needed something. I loved being so close to the 72nd subway and the little Tasty cafe on the corner was a joy for a quick meal. The loft bed was fun, but beware of hitting your head if you are tall. Also, bring earplugs if the sound of jet lagged guests walking up and down in the apartment above you throughout the night worries you. The kitchen was not as well equipped as expected, but a small price to pay - I went to Bed bath and beyond and bought a few odds and ends to bring it up to par. There is VERY little cupboard space for clothes, but most folk don't stay for as long as I did, so that is not really a problem. I would recommend this place to anyone, and intend staying here again when I return. Kim'

Marco Mulas from Cagliari, Italy; January 2010:
'nice stay, confortable, nice neighbourhood. We will consider coming back in our next visit to NY city'

VERONIQUE MANGINI from Milan, Italy; January 2010:
'We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very well located, the subway is near, Central Park is just round the corner, if you like classical music the Lincoln center is close and Zabar's is a couple of blocks away. The apartment is comfortable, you just don't have to mind climbing up to the mezzanine to sleep! '

cécile Brune from Paris, France; December 2009:
'A nice place to stay for a week in NYC ! Quiet, cosy, well furnished, next to the metro and Central Park - the studio was a treat for us.'

Doris Moor from Zürich, Switzerland; November 2009:
'Perfectly located. Shopping- and sightseeing hotspots are easily reachable by subway or taxi or some even by foot. The flat itself is old, heating makes noise, Kitchen ok. We booked for 3 guests but beds were ready only for two. We changed the couch to a bed by ourselves. The flat is a good possibility to stay for a few days, but not for a longer time.'

giulia ballistreri from rome, italy; October 2009:
'me and my boyfriend really enjoyed our stay! the apartment is very nice and its position is great : we were near to the principal museums and the subway! i hope to come back soon! =) giulia '

Jelena Pantelic from Munich, Germany; October 2009:
'This is a perfect way to stay in NYC! Just 1min from the subway which takes you in only 5-10min to the Times Square! This apartment is perfect for 2 people, it is really commodius and nice furnished. I just can recommend it. '

Stephanie Engeli from Zurich, Switzerland; July 2009:
'We stayed at the West 71st studio for 5 weeks while we were attending a dance summer intensive course. We really enjoyed staying at this cozy studio. The location is just perfect. The apt is very cute & you can feel at home easy. The only thing we were not sooo happy about was that there are not many utilities for the kitchen, we had to buy some things by ourselves. Overall very great!!'

Wertz Brigite from , DE; May 2009:
' Location is great and I liked the building, It's not fancy but it feels safe clean and real.Love the high ceilings! The apt is small but the layout is very well designed. The furnishings are funky..... interesting what they did with the space. This place is for someone who is not conventional like me. I loved it and would not mind living in NY in a place just like this (can't afford it). '

Michael Shermin from Berkeley, CA, USA; May 2009:
'Great and easy check-in process. I was 2 hrs late and I did not have ot bother anyone for the keys. Location is excellent and the setup of the place even if a littel home made is great. Would come again.'
