Peter Boone from Manhatttan Beach, USA; April 2012:
'Things I didn't like:
1)Worn carpets in the lobby and on the stairs make a bad 1st impression.
2)Refrigerator in kitchen is half size, very small freezer can't take anything bigger than 2 small ice trays.
3)1 roll of toilet paper for 10 days.
4)Carpet had debris from previous tenant.
5)Bed had only one sheet and a comforter. Given the 1 roll of tp I wondered if the comforter was cleaned between tena
nts.
6)The bed was next to a window which delivered generous amounts of very cold air from the outside (temps in the 30s overnight). We solved this by moving the bed and wearing clothes to bed. The radiators did not heat while we were there.
7)On 3 occasions the kitchen sink filled with kitchen waste water from apartments above. Fortunately it did not overflow. This was reported to the super. As far as I know he did not come.
8)Peeling paint on bedroom ceiling makes a bad impression.
I visit my family on W 89th twice a year -- the location is ideal, the apartment, sadly, is not.

Astrid Tebberman from Delden, Netherlands; February 2012:
'The apartment is exactly as shown on the pictures. We really liked it very much. The location is great and very quiet (for good nights sleep) And close to Central Park and shops in the Upper West. The apartment was also very clean and the temperature was fine (nog cold as mentioned in other reviews). We also liked the fact the the owners were flexible when we had a problem with our suitcases. Thank you very much for the pleasant stay.'
John Gallagher from Sydney, Australia; December 2011:
'The location of this apartment is excellent. Just a short walk to Broadway, Central Park, and Riverside Park. My wife and I could live in this location. The apartment was clean and tidy, and quiet. Supermarkets were just minutes away on Broadway. Zabar's is one of the most amazing shops I have ever been in. It is an attraction in itself. We had a few queries and Veronica and Irwin and Veronica and Erwin were very helpful in attending to those.'
Rachel Kerr from Stafford, UK; November 2011:
'The Paisley appartment was just what we needed for our stay in NYC. It was very convenient to shops and the subway, was located in a nice area and the interior looked exactly like the pictures. I would definitely stay there again. My only small criticism was the lack of blankets as its got chilly at night in October. Other than that, it was great. '
Fiona Dutweiler from East Amherst, New York; October 2011:
'We recently spent a weekend in New York and stayed in the Paisley apartment on the Upper West side. The accomodations were perfect. Just enough room to spread out and it was very clean. Having never been on the upper west side before we thoroughly enjoyed exploring this area and it was within easy walking distance to Times Square and central park. We would definitely rent this unit again. '

Katie Barron from Richardson, USA; December 2010:
'This was a perfect set-up for us with 2 small kids. The apartment was nice and quiet, clean, and quite comfortable. We will definitely be renting from you again, thanks for making our weekend trip to Manhattan so pleasant!'
helene deslauriers from Sherbrooke, canada; December 2010:
'Well located. Nice area. The appartment was OK. The main bedroom is confortable. The sofa bed is not and we found hair in the sofa bed. The rest was well but some decoration would make the appartment warmer.
Thank you
Hélène Deslauriers'
Angela R White from Truckee, USA; September 2010:
'Wonderful location, near to both Central and Riverside Parks, plus river running/bike trail. Nice quiet neighborhood, shops, restuarants, metro station close by.'
kathy nelson from scottsdale, az, usa; May 2010:
'Lovely, quiet retreat from NYC's hectic pace. The living room and bedroom overlook a tree filled courtyard. Also, nice breezes from the windows.'
Lynne Benson from Tacoma, USA; April 2010:
'The apartment was clean when we arrived. Towels were quite plush as were the comforters. Hot water was abundant, yet a little difficult to control. It was rather amazing that the pipes in the room were so hot that they created heat in the room that could only be countered by the AC in the living area, but the one in the bedroom didn't work at all. It was nice to have the kitchen area. The freezer wasn't quite cold enough but the fridge section was too cold. Some of our vegetables froze. Since we like to cook, it was a little difficult to use the kitchen efficiently. It would have been nice to have extra dishtowels, something to wash the dishes with, potholders, peeler, spaghetti fork, and a juice pitcher. We made do with what we had, though.
We hope we left the apt. tidy enough. We tried to keep it and leave it neat. Thanks for your gracious help in getting in and staying.'
