Apartment Alexis in New York
Living Roomjanet sadoff from Sausalito, CA, US; April 2012:
'The apartment was great! It is spacious and located on a lovely, quiet street in my favorite Manhattan neighborhood. The subway is only a few blocks away and I was able to walk to Central park every morning and enjoy a nice, long stroll before heading out for the day. I look forward to returning soon!'

'I so wish I had good things to say!Everything was so minimal. One bathtowel no washcloth. TV only had two or three channels in English. Couldn't sleep as the temperature was at least 80. I had trouble getting into the unit...no one responded.Very poor experience and I would not recommend.'

Amy Gerowitz from Cincinnati, United States; December 2011:
'The apartment was fine, it was a good location, clean and had what we needed. The only problem was that there were very few t.v. stations in english that were available and while we don't watch much tv we expect to be able to watch the local news on the ABC, CBS and NBC stations and there was no sound for at least 2 of them. Otherwise it was fine.'

Allison Kirkman from Wellington, New Zealand; November 2011:
'Good space, fine for sleeping, excellent shower and toilet. Good kitchen. The only problem we encountered was the heating. It was far too hot to begin with but a couple of emails to Veronica and this was solved. '

Polly Giuffrida from Sarasota, FL, USA; June 2011:
'Very comfortable air conditioned apartment. Close to Riverside Park and shopping. Having use of a full kitchen was great! This is a 2 floor walk-up-not recommended for anyone with walking issues. '

Richard Bennie from Ojai, CA, USA; May 2011:
'Worked out fine picking up key at another building. Area apartment is in is safe and quiet. First impression of apartment was that is was 'rough'. Coat closet door handle fell off. Bi-fold doors on bedroom closet hanging off rails. Only Lamp in bedroom did not work. Hole in wall in livingroom. Bathtub drain backed up. Minimum utensils and plates in kitchen. No cleaning supplies available and no broom and dustpan to clean up once-in-awhile. Phoned Veronica on first day to report. That same day while we were relaxing, workers came in and filled hole in wall, used kitchen sink, then unclogged bathtub drain. Left dirt everywhere and I had to find cleaning supplies to clean up after them. They said they would be back (while we were staying there) to paint wall. I said no. Workers took bedroom lamp to fix it and we had no light in bedroom the whole time we stayed. Liked the area, and quiet neighbors, but price was too high for what we got.'

'Great location in quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the subway and bus lines - both of which we used exclusively in our 5 days in NY. The convenience of a grocery store and neat restaurants made for a delightful stay. Thanks.'

Leslie Mehren from Tiburon, CA, USA; February 2011:
'We enjoyed our stay in the apartment and have the following suggestions to make it even more comfortable: - bathtub is clogged and does not drain when shower is on - hole in living room wall should be repaired - bulb out in kitchen light - dimmer switch in bathroom not compatible with CFL bulbs and causes flickering and buzzing - suggestions for where to do laundry would be helpful Thank you!'

Martin Slavin from San Rafael, CA, USA; December 2010:
'Very cozy and centrally located. Parking is tough, but doable. Very clean, very well maintained. One of the better apartments that we have rented. We enjoyed our stay.'

Devere Karlson from Fallon, United States; November 2010:
'Excellent location. Quite neigborhood, just three blocks from Central Park and the subway. Two blocks off of Broadway where there is amble shopping and a choice of resturants. Apartment is great for 1 to 3 people, gets a little too small for more than three, but you could make 4 work. I would stay there again without question. '

Natalie Mahowald from Ithaca, USA; October 2010:
'Hi! Nice location, very small place, but just fine. Not being able to pay with credit card or check is a bit odd, but otherwise everything is great. Natalie'
